One thing that makes me think, especially today, it’s how people know so little about their grandparents’ lives. Great-grandparents and uncles then, don’t even talk. Sometimes they don’t know important information even from their parents.
It’s not a new phenomenon, just think that now, with modern life, cell phones, internet, people talk less, especially with the elderly. I’ve often heard people say, wow, I’ve lived with my grandfather and grandmother and I never thought to ask where they came from, where they grew up, the challenges they faced, the important dates in their lives. They never told me anything either, and now they’re not with us anymore and I can’t ask. In other words, my grandparents my relatives are invisible to me.

The great motivation behind this site is to try to make information available as much as possible so that the people who are part of the site could know where they came from and important family stories.
Therefore, If you’re reading this post and still have your grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, talk to them. And if you find any important information about them, let other people in the family know. And if makes sense, send the information to us also to have it documented on this site.
Do you have a story to tell? Send us an email and we’ll publish.
